Youth Services provides loads of opportunities to get active and hang out with other youth from Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Come check out the following activities:
Drop-In Gym: Come challenge our staff to a friendly game of your choice in our fully equipped gymnasium. Friday and Saturday nights from 7:30-9:30pm at the Pitt Meadows Family Recreation Centre. Cost: $2
The Schoolyard - Youth Action Park: The “Schoolyard” at Thomas Haney Secondary School is ‘the’ place for skateboard enthusiasts in Maple Ridge! The Skate Park resembles an urban plaza and a skate-able public art piece called ‘the moustache’. The unique street-style design draws thousands of skaters not only from our local community but from all over the Lower Mainland and North America! The park is staffed with youth workers as well as Action Park Mentors. YOI staff can be found at the park from 3-5pm Monday to Friday from March to October.
Whonnock Outreach: Join other youth at Whonnock Elementary School and improve your skills in a variety of sports and recreational activities. Every Monday from 7:00-9:00pm. Cost: Free!
Greg Moore Youth Centre Active Area: Throughout the week, drop-in times are available for skateboarding, rock climbing and general recreational activties within the Active Area. Call 604-467-7354 to find out about the drop-in schedule.
Note: A waiver is required for the Active Area. Download a waiver here.
