We provide endless opportunities for children to exercise their ‘Basic Right to Education and Recreation”.
Children’s Services provides a safe, healthy and inclusive environment for children aged 0-12 years to participate in leisure and recreational activities. Recognizing that all children have strengths, our programs are built on a child’s capacity to learn, play and be active.
We create a non-competitive environment where children can make friends, become leaders and contribute to their own health and well-being. Children’s Services acknowledges that recreation is essential to the healthy development of children and youth and have therefore developed programs servicing the following areas:
- Preschool Programs
- School-Age Programs
- Active Kids Club ~ Before School Care
- Active Kids Club ~ After School Program
- Youth Leadership Programs
We are continually updating the programs available so be sure to check back regularly to see what programs are offered! Check out the Maple Ridge - Pitt Meadows Arts and Recreation Guide for up to date activities and programs available. You can also call us at 604-466-4339 with any questions or inquiries.
Children's games are hardly games. Children are never more serious than when they play. - MONTAIGNE, Essays
